Plitvice lakes & Rastoke Village

Plitvice lakes national park is the most visited parks in Croatia and is voted the most beautiful national park in Europe. A UNESCO world heritage site since 1979, the park is made up of 16 lakes connected by streams and waterfalls. Set off in a small group from the capital Zagreb and enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful Croatian countryside. Our licensed driver will get you familiar with the itinerary for the day, as well as information about the sites you are visiting and the general history of Croatia.

Approximately one hour into the drive, we will reach our first destination of the village of Rastoke. This fairy tale small watermill village will give you the first insight into historic Croatia, but also a sneak peek for what’s to come in Plitvice. We will spend enough time here for you to look around the village and take some photos before heading back to the van towards the national park.

After 30 minutes of driving, we will arrive at the spectacular Plitvice lakes. After collecting our tickets, we will go straight into the parks where you will be mesmerized by its beauty. The park is a fairly big place, but our skillful guide knows how to get around and maximize your experience! The tour through the park is 8.5km (5.3mi.) of walking, a 20-minute boat ride, and a ride back on the tourist train back to the parking lot.

After we finish the sightseeing of the park, we will head back to Zagreb. Just kick back, relax and enjoy the 90min ride back through the landscapes of Croatia’s mountainous countryside.
