Plitvice lakes national park is one of the most visited parks in Croatia and is voted the most beautiful national park in Europe. A UNESCO world heritage site since 1979, the park is made up of 16 lakes connected by streams and waterfalls. Take a walk along the paths and boardwalks, and surround yourself with breathtaking nature at every angle. Spend a day in the park with our guide who knows all the insights to help make this trip an amazing opportunity.
Set off from the capital Zagreb and enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful Croatian countryside. Our licensed driver will get you familiar with the itinerary for the day, as well as information about the sites you are visiting and the general history of Croatia.
Approximately one hour in to the drive, we will reach our first destination of the village Rastoke. This fairy tale small watermill village will give you the first insight into historic Croatia, but also a sneak peak for what’s to come in Plitvice. We will spend enough time here for you to look around the town and take some photos before heading back to the van towards the national park.
After 30 mins of driving we will arrive at the spectacular Plitvice lakes. After collecting our tickets, we will go straight into the parks where you will be mesmerized by its beauty. The park is a fairly big place, but our skillful guide knows how to get around and maximize your experience! The tour through the park is 8.5km (5.3mi.) of walking, 20 minute boat ride and a ride back on the tourist train back to the parking lot. After we finish the sightseeing of the park, its time to curb your hunger with a 3 course meal of local Croatian cuisine (beverage excluded).
Once you’ve filled your belly, just kick back, relax and enjoy the 90min ride back through the
landscapes of Croatia’s mountainous countryside back to Zagreb.
