Zagreb walking tour

Thinking you would like a complete tour of Zagreb? Well look no further as we will provide you the best experience of Croatia’s capital! Get your walking shoes on and take a stroll with us for a couple of hours as we show you the highlights of our wonderful city. We have the local insights and handy tips to leave you wanting to explore some more. We will stop and show you the major sites and give you some history and culture lessons along the way.

We start the tour at Zagreb’s famous Zrinjevac park which will give you some great selfie and photo opportunities while we provide you stories about our hometown. From the park, we will hit Bogovićeva street which is well known for its bars and restaurants. From new to old, we will walk across Ban Jelačić square to our next stop, the historic Zagreb cathedral.

Once you’ve seen this beautiful cathedral inside-out, we’ll take a walk through Dolac farmers markets to the WW2 tunnels for some more history about our city. Once we reach the Zagreb funicular, you can give your legs a rest while take the funicular to the top of Grič hill. At the top of the hill is Gradec aka ‘Upper town’ for some beautiful panoramic views of the city. This is a great opportunity for some more photos, to see St. Marks Church and to hear the stories about Lotrščak tower home of the Grič cannon!

After the photo opportunity, we will take a walk through Upper Town and descend down to Tkalčićeva street. This street is also famous for its bars and restaurants, so you can decide where to fill your belly! We finally finish the tour in Ban Jelačić square, which is the center point to go explore further by yourself.

Once the tour is complete, you will have better understanding and knowledge of the city, its history, and the landmarks of this amazing capital. You will feel more confident to go exploring, but remember your guide is there to assist you with anything you want to know…we are local’s after all!
